Tue 20th Dec 2005/ID41 Media ReleaseThe commercial property development, Endeavour Business Park in Portsmouth, is celebrating its latest move in the right direction as Compass Contract Hire joins its list of occupiers. Compass has acquired a 5,000 sq ft office unit on the Endeavour Business Park in Penner Road in Havant which is being developed by the Winchester based Durngate Property Group. Established in 1992 at offices in Clanfield, Compass has helped companies, from small businesses to multi-national PLCs, to run their vehicle leasing and contract hire programmes. Its decision to relocate to Endeavour Business Park was twofold. Managing director Phil Page explained: “We had outgrown our base in Clanfield and also we felt the time was right for us to move into our own bespoke premises. Endeavour Business Park was ideal for our purposes as we have storage area below for the cars and a larger area upstairs for sales.” “The premises are so modern and both our staff and customers are finding it easier to travel here because of the superb access to the local road network and motorways.” Phase one of the business park, comprising office and light industrial units, was launched in May and is one of only a handful of smaller freehold developments in the entire region. Durngate is now working on a similar development at Farnham in Surrey. Andy Hellier of Hellier Langston is the agent for the development. He says: “Local businesses have been very quick to realise the enormous benefits of owning their own premises which become significant capital assets." “As there is such a tremendous demand for these freehold units tailored to this particular market, we have begun work on a similar development, Endeavour Place, at the Coxbridge Business Park in Farnham which will be completed in March.” Phase one has six units remaining. The sizes range from 1,250 to 2,300 sq ft. Phase two offers up to 20,000 sq ft. Units are available individually or in combination.
